Weasel and I went.

There were police traps everywhere! We didn't even get into the main protest. Once we got out of the little police trap we were guided up anouther street which we went up. We hit anouther massive police trap (by massive i mean 40 police and 10 protesters). We were just trying to find a bus stop out of there so we asked one of the police and they directed us futher up. We walked right though without getting stopped, next thing we knew we found ourselves at the Excel building! there were no other protesters there or anything! The police had guided us to where they didn't want anyone going! [LOL] All we were trying was to find a bus home!

The Terrorism Act 2000 is a disgusting piece of legislation, and rates down with the Christmas 2001 one, whose name I can't remember, which was where we suspended our obligations under the European Convention on Human Rights. Not to mention some of the things that are going on with Interception of Communications and the "Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2001", in which any "regulation" is absolutely risible.

Of course the definitions in the legislation mean that you could possibly be considered a terrorist under the legislation if you pay UK taxes and think that the second gulf war may count as state-funded terrorism analysis. I'm just wondering where else there is to move to that isn't going in this direction.

i managed to go to the wrong place, and couldnt have gotten there in time as there was an announcement to say there were no trains to docklands on the dlr as there were protesters on the line [Eek!] [LOL]

had a few hours to kill so i went to trafalgar square and watched a bit of the brazilian carnival instead. Bringing tea was a good idea !

I'm quite glad i didnt get mixed up in the fuss.
