well... there's a surprise... I didn't make it, after all... I am seriously beginning to wonder if I'll ever make it back to juggle jam...

why, to a 13yo, does "be home by dark... we're going out tonight", turn into "being found wandering home some time after 9pm, after the grown-ups (kinda) have started to get more than a lil bit worried"?

should we have been more specific? given the exact quality of darkness...? or mentioned that we meant dark AEST (australian eastern standard time)...? </facetiousness>

mine's only four years old, so i don't have direct experience, but from what i've been told of teenagers .. yes, you should have been more specific. lol!

i'm glad that your teen made it home safely, anyway.

i did! smiley had a fun time, too. he designated himself as dropped club picker-upper-er, it seems, although he wasn't really clued up on which clubs had been dropped intentionally or not. doh. i hope he wasn't too much of a pain in the bum for anyone.

good, good. pleased to hear it. i do hope to come along regularly. it'll be nice to get to know a few more juggley types & i'd love for smiley to feel at home around artsy/creative types. he was having a go with the poi, himself. if he can grow up with these sort of skills around him, then i would love for him to be able to take up something just as artistic.

the atmosphere there was very similar to the circadia tent at woodford. in fact, i easily recognised at least five or six people from woodford!

Wow, was there anyone actually at JJ this week? I know a few peeps who didn't go, and I know I was wiped out from the last few weeks and stayed home feeling tragic! Picked up spirits now though.. and fully intend to be there next Monday... gonna miss Chris and Jen though.. and Kyle moving to Melbourne soon....
Brissy's getting thin!

i totally forgot about it! mind you, it's probably just as well since smiley went to sleep at 6 pm that evening. i have it in my diary now, though, so there'll be no more forgetting.

Yup, there was still a sizable turnout this week...

Although we didn't manage to overwhelm the B-Boys this week. Pretty much 50:50...

The last of us had a little campfire singalong (without the campfire obviously...)

Roll on next week (my third and final )

Hmm well I have considered bringing my camp stove for chai before, I suppose knocking up some sausages wouldn't be too much of a stretch

oooh... chai...!! yes, please...!! you know, I still haven't even opened that box of madagascan vanilla tea that I bought for myself at the same time I bought yours... how slack is that? I even have a lil teapot now, but I haven't used that yet, either...

I miss everyone and the monday space already! Big hugs and love to you all.

Basstones, bringing a campstove to make chai at juggle isn't overdoing it at all. I did it after woodford last year as a farewell-Ant thingamywhatsit. We were even bringing a toaster and kettle for awhile. Make yourself at home! For home it is...

I'm not homesick, really I'm not...

more love and hugs from a freezing elf in London-town

Suncorp Piazza IS the big landmark.

It is a huge round performance venue in SouthBank Parklands, by the Brisbane river, near South Brisbane station. Nearest streets are Little Stanley St/Grey St and Glenelg St. But just ask for the Piazza.

If by some chance it is booked out for a function, we meet at the at the top of some stairs near the lagoon/beach/cafes about a block downriver from the Piazza. It is signed...*busker's pitch* and you may well see colourful things being thrown about.

If it's raining AND the Piazza is booked out we tend to hide out under the balcony of one of the cafes or just give up and go home.

Are you driving or train/bus/foot? Specify method of transport and i can give ridiculously exact directions
