Monday night Juggle Jams

To all Brisbane twirlers, on each Monday night there is a practice twirl being held down in the South Bank Piazza. Beginners welcome as we are free to teach. Come to learn
Starts at 7:30... pm, and goes till around mid-night. See ya then.

After being on the road for some 4 1/2 years...it's finally time to come back home (Viva Brisvegas!)... I'm flying into Brisbane, after what should be a lovely 3 weeks in Thailand, on November 26th. I can't wait to see what the Brissy scene is all about! That sounds incredible that the Sounth Bank are cool with you spinning there...how did you go about getting permission for that? Anyways...see you all soon

hey arsn there was barly anyone there last night i ended up putting on a little show of my own for any people in the park area near the XXXX pub, ended up getting busted by south bank cop wanabe's complaining about me useing fire but i guess you get that

Sorry, I forgot one little thing... you see if the piazza is closed we heaqd over to the beach. And as I said befor, we can't use fire in south bank, unless you have one of their permits. Monday nights are just come and learn, have fun, and hang out...

Aha, I get it.. there already WAS a Monday nite thread in existence, so you've bumped it up to be Prominent rather than hidden in an archive somewhere....
For travellers....The Piazza is a huge enclosed ampitheatre space in Southbank Parklands just off Stanley St, very near South Brisbane train station and the QPAC bus station. Tons of room, well lit, has loos, very airy but protected from bad weather. Perfect really! Sometimes it gets used for shows etc but it's nearly always juggle space ont he Monday.

And btw new readers, any comments earlier in this thread about 'not many people there' etc are certainly very out of date now cos last week there must have been 50 peeps wander though at various times.. every skill level and lots of toys. It's a great night: still free, still friendly, very open. It's quite nice the way people just wander through actually, tourists and families down for an evening in the park. A couple of weeks ago there was a rehearsal for a film scene going on in the seating while people were playing in the middle space... so the filmy peeps are apparently coming back in a few weeks to film a scene there! It's still a no fire jam but that's fine, it's a great night to just play.... and practice for Moonfest... I hear a rumour that there's a fire night at the Kangaroo Pt cliffs on a Thursday.. anyone confirm that?

Every second Thurs the folk from the Carnival of the Divine Imagination are at the Kang Pt cliffs. It used to be every Thurs, but every second Thurs they now have training for the troupe. This coming Thurs they will be there... the week after, they won't.

It's good to see this gathering getting some real life back .

We were going to head down to Food not Bombs in West End first and then roll on over to the Pizza space. I think they will be having a movie on at Southbank tonight, so if we can't play in the Pizza then maybe down by the beach like thing.
