hello everyone

are there any poi workshops anywhere in london in the near future? - i'm from north west london but don't mind travelling anywhere...

theres one tonight and incidentally...its in spittlafields market....nr liverpool street station...suprising seeing as you ARE in the spittalfields thread...!!

i won't be able to come to the one tonight - is it a regular thing every tuesday night at spitalfields market? what time is it? how many people normally go? is it just poi, or staffs and other stuff as well?

Spittalfields is every tuesday from 7:00, and theres much staffage along with the poiism, and even a little bit of jugglist action occasionally.

i think the time and dates of these post seem to be in the future because this is a new zealand website so it operates on their time, it's weird that they are already in tomorrow over there... at least i'm guessing that's why

Yep, that's exactly why.

There's a little message in the bottom left corner that says 'All times are Home of Poi time (HOPT)'
It used to say what the time was in relation to Greenwich mean time, but I seem to remember that that confused some people too, so Malcolm decided to make it arbitrary HOP time to confuse everybody

Just a quick update...

1. Spitalfields is definitely still on with no planned end date as yet. It all depends on how much we can stand the cold really.

2. We are trying to get a bit of heating organised right now, but in case we don't, please layer yourself properly so you can stand and chat OR play (obviously poi-ing like crazy keeps you toasty though!)

Well, I won't be at Spitalfields this week - have a Christmas Drinks gathering which I must attend...

Hope to make it along tomorrow, I will see how knackered I am at the end of the day. Some fortifying pints before would be nice. Anybody care to join me for a few scoops the pub before Spitz and if so what pub nearby?

i finish work at 5:30 and am usually in the pub within about 10 mins if you fancy a pint beforehand.

i usually go to the pub nearby with the pool tables upstairs (can't remember the name but its between spitalfields and the station) or just into spitz bar.

however, i think the meet starts at 6:00 now (since last week) so you only really have time for a quick pint at best. how was the cafe on saturday night?

edit: just noticed your post about the cafe sitch in your 'come to the cafe' thread . thats a bummer about the change in attitude but i'm sure as time goes on, it'll gradually slip back into its old function...

Shame indeed about the cafe, I think you could be right about the 'old' habits though. I think they just need to wait til the heat cools down and I guess writing about it online does not help either. I know freeparty sites are monitered so you never know who is watching what you say online. Scary
