i don't reckon it is.
just my opinion but the forces required to keep a poi stationary in this position would mean ridiculously fast circles with short poi and the most accurate muscles in the world.

so can any of you isolation doers out there manage a 90 degree gap rather than a 180deg one? i've been trying with zero success.

it feels so unnatural that my body has become confused and has begun developing gills on the off chance that they might help.

yo,

I been getting the isolation buzzsaw recently and I got two things to add.

1: isolationjs are much easier with poi that have very heavy heads and light strings.

2: I think what he means by a 90 degree gap is that instead of the isolation going together, oppisite wick to opposit hand, but in a cross sopinning isolation, that has been happening to me quite a lot, but by accident.

90deg gap: with normal isolations the poi heads and your hands are 'in line' ie. the left hand poi sits next to your right hand and vice versa. this is a 180 deg gap.

when you do this normal isolation, it looks like your hands are turning a crank with handles at opposite sides of the circle eg. at six and tweleve on a clock.

what i'm talking about are isolations with your hands 90deg apart eg. starting at nine and twelve on a clock. if it is possible to learn [umm] , it will look like a spinning cross. get it?

Wow, that sounds awesome. Unfortunately, I've only learned same time isolations so far. My hands don't like to do isolations at different speeds or start times. =/ I also haven't gotten isolations on the insides of my arms down well because I normally use strings a bit too long for that. Ah well, all in good time. [Smile]

Actually I have done it befor. It does require a super fast and super accurate movement. I have found it is easiest using electroglo poi.
