Anything that's also good for Morris Dancing

I have fairly recently discovered Heimataerde which I would best describe as german Industrial-folk fusion. The bloke in Resurection records who recommended them to my other half, said it was "one of the wierdest things I'v e heard". There are stompy beats, angry sounding germans and bagpipes. Makes fantastic spinning music for some reason.

&
the cult's "brother wolf and sister moon"
&
Lumin's "Wild Orchid" (after the 1st 50 sec.)

Ohh this sounds great! I love Resurrection Records, it's such a cool source of random choons. I've taken to spinning to really mental black metal recently. Usually I spin very slow and controlled, but listening to the dulcet tones of Anaal Nathrakh while lobbing fireballs round my head really brings out the agressive and fast side of my spinning, loads of fun!

Other good metal to spin to (in my opinion anyway):

Am Universum - Amorphis
Chaos AD - Sepultura
Clayman - In Flames
The Cold White Light - Sentenced
Winterhearts Guild - Sonata Arctica
Crimson Thunder - Hammerfall
Anything by Emperor

Also a lot of trance (Infected Mushroom, Astrix, Hallucinogen etc)....
And obviously Pendulum absolutely RULE! I'm loving spinning to "Hold Your Colour" and "Girl in the Fire" at the moment....

Bumping up the post a bit. I've just got hold of a copy of La Revancha Del Tango by the Gotan Project and it's all fantastic good to spin to, both staff and poi, I'm itching to put together a staff routine to one of the tracks, but it's raining outside

Curse you, Britain!!!

With fans, I prefer something slower, such as some Cirque De Soleil music or something Middle-Eastern flavoured like Axiom of Choice.

With twirling staff, i prefer faster beats in the guise of Viking Metal (Moonsorrow) and Psytrance (Infected Mushroom, Hallucinogen.

Contact staff...no music - concentrating too damn much!

lots of circular, chilled loopy music.

Sphongle, Celtic Cross, all the Simon Posford involved stuff basically,

Pendulum, Orbital.

I like lots of dark music, and industrial music too, but I just don't feel right trying to spin to it atm some reason.

Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, or just ska in general is just great to spin on.
Or if I wanna take it slower I like to spin on reggae.
Beatles are also pretty cool to spin on I think.

Live Djembe is awesome to spin to. We have seasonal night markets here down in St Kilda, Melbourne which attracts crowds in the hundreds. Sure enough, djembe music and fire spinners are out in force too.

For a camp tallent show I spun to through the fire and flames by dragonforce. It is an insainly fast song, so I was really tired by the end of the proformance. It was worth it though because everyone had a great time.
