blue- you don't find 'a' harder than 'b'? I mean the exit on 'b' can be a monster, but 'a' imo ismuch harder.. but maybe that's discussion best kept to a thread.. thnks for clearing up the confusion..

more throws:
half spins on each side out of weaves - all directions
half spin followtime shoulder throws
and i discovered suicide wraps are infinitely easier with double ended poi

went on a mini vertical reel exploration - offsets make for some nice variation here.

Figured out this weekend:
5 beat reverse weave (finally!! the left side of that has been a PITA)
butterfly weave
single hand butterfly and btb butterfly (with sock poi for now)
butterfly turns
various TNT combos, including this neat feeling TNT that has the arms constantly wrapping around each other(a lot like what the last beat of the 5 beat weave feels like). can do it in reverse TNT smoothly - working on making it work in forwards (anybody know what i'm talking about?)

Been a fun weekend

So, I got a few more stalls working nicely, and a bit more antispinny flowery stuff cleaner.

All I have to do now is get my spaccy right hand to do things as well as my left!

Got some of the antispin parrallel poi flowers the Bluecatery showed me at Glastonbury!

Now to try and turn them

i been playing parralle stuff to, not antipin flowers though but im slowly getting a few weaves working, and it seems to feel pretty cool, also gettung a few random strange transitions into paralle stuff from pendulum srtuff .

I can finally do a 7 beat weave (it was a tricky one!) It still needs improvement though.
& btb 3 beat weave both forwards and backwards pretty smoothly.
still trying those hyperloops...

vertical reels were hard last night but it meant i finally got round to learning more bits of btb waistwraps (how many years has it been...?)

there's only one i can't do now (clockwise poi, top carry).

as a consequence i inadvertantly learnt fwd-rev 3bt weave btb in wallplane and i found i can get extra circles in a few of the positions too now


gotta keep raising that bar just though - waistwrap goal is now: full 4bt ww, in all directions.

that's a bit ambiguous - is that juggling type fountain (2in1 hand) or clubswinging fountain (fwd-rev 3bt weave in a big wallplane circle)?

and i learnt the above the head airwrap thing (a.k.a. flaming halo) too - feels right good doesn't it!

well the fountains are exactly the same as showers but in butterfly, you still throw with thr right and catch with the left and pass the poi to the right, if that makes sense.

and i havnt nailed behind the head as an airwrap yet (but am about to go and practice), mines more from an oliloop taking it around your body and behind your head, so it almost kinda like some hyperloop flower thang!

hopefully now you understand why i dont post in poi moves very often.

*jumps up and down* I just recently learned How to do Isolations in the 3 beat weave *grins* Yay!

ahh showers, that makes sense now. Might give this a go and learn the btb shower from rossco at uberpoi!

managed to thread the needle last night. was so chuffed i bounced around like tigger on speed!

two new whipcatches, one in the buzzsaw plane, quite scary.

Name: Double Snake Weave

Basic move Weave
De Plane: Wall plane
Beats: ups
Technique: Snake

Firs I found pretty nice move, to do double snakes with Butterfly,
now I found that its possible to do double snakes with Weave,
just to realize and learn backward snakes.
To find the difference between, Full Snake and snake and that the difference is where the snake start.
Than start with simple Weave and than wall plane straight arm to prepare for double snake, one forward one backward to turn after.

After 5 years of spinning I finally, fiiiinnaly managed the forward btb weave...
G'damn that was a though one..
managed the reversred one for months, but didn't quite get the forward one.
Still hitting my legs pretty bad, but it's all about details now, before it sits perfectly..

btw,what is a snake weave? i put "snake" into search,and it comes up with firewhips?
Even better i taught my daughters (who are11and 14)the 3-beat weave,windmill,and butterfly over the weekend.Man, they learn quickly these children,don't they?Even my 6 year old son is doing the butterfly .

managed to do one crosser, but tried again and failed miserably...

lots of poi showers...

regular ones both ways (same direction, clockwise-> left hand throws, right hand feeds. opposite for countercolckwise)
antispin ones clockwise (sketchy as hell-right hand throws, left hand feeds)
underhand poi showers clockwise
underleg poi showers clockwise

powering horizontal hyperloops for 5+ spins
airwrap with right hand UTL, release right poi, tapback, catch.

Whip catches - although the bit after the catch needs to be a lot smoother! And my throws from various places are improving.

i may have cracked btb weave, although my legs keep getting hit. but at least i know the technique now!
