consciousness?
:P And that seems to be the big trend on the HoP forums...
And I've had no new moves since I got my hyper loops fairly clean...and that one strange move...alternate direction 2 bt weave...also smashed my leg up on that one...note to self, I have REALLY gotta stop trying new moves with beamers...
I'm hoping once it gets a bit nicer outside that I can start work on my flowers...

Current works in progress:

-Over the head air wraps
-Under the leg hugs
-A move I have dubbed the "air guitar"
-And one handed double throws (wooo!)

If you are doing the butterfly and throw the handles to the opposite hand the buttterfly will switch upsidedown and poi stay same speed trajectory.

LOL @ Flid

btb wallplane tangles.

T

with both poi going clockwise in front of me split time, when you put both behind your back you can easily tangle strings if they stay split time. The strings hit and you throw the whole tangle in frotn of your body on the rt, hand side, really reachy with left hand. It will untangle in front of you. TRy split time in frotn of you behind and then overhead in order.

Whoa! Long thread!!
I been having much fun this morning with a 3bt counter-time (is that where the poi spin in opposite directions?) weave! Then I dropped my poi off the balcony! Whoops!
Also just kinda managed an under the legs and around the back weave type thingy.
Still can't get reels though!

If the poi are spinning in opposite directions sounds like you're talking about a butterfly weave.

Got my first antispin flowers and BTB wallplane tangles where the tangle then untangles in the front wall plane rather than BTB. Which looks nifty in waist wraps.

Today, I have learnt to do a very untidy butterfly waistwrap, a nice arm/leg wrap combo, and a thru-wrap!

Productive day, methinks!

Hmmm. Productive spin to Ozzy

I think I have antispin flowers down.

I can move into and out of them which was lacking before.

Most combos I can do without the look of panic combined with shear concentration that I had when I first tried them.

Turning antspin flowers are still beyond me but I can do it with one hand so far.

I think I'm also closer to 5 beat isolated weave. But not really sure. I think I understand what is ment by this now

Also been playing with random plane isolations. Really fun and silly!

Alack and alas, I have moved forward little since my last post (about 3 weeks ago?), what with finally realising it's time to start doing some uni work.

I have now hooked up with the Sydney Uni Circus Society, SURCAS, which will hopefully be fruitful.

The few bits I've picked up in the last three weeks have been:

neck wraps
3bt btb reverse weave
the reverse of a weird wraps inside ttn weavy thing which I do but don't know what it is.

I've also figured out the hand motions for the forward 3bt btb weave but can't do it without contact 'twixt my shoulder and the poi. Something to work on, hey?

last sunday i managed to go from a fwd weave into a btb reverse weave, turning 360 and then into a normal forward weave again. (its still a little rough though)

and that after 4 hours of sleep. ^.^

Learnt loads of new stuff last night, like turning both ways and a more controlled butterfly.

I think i can almost turn in any direction now, with a bit of thinking time. Was very not dropping anything constantly, but very and to keep on getting hit where the sun don't shine.

i have been spinning under/between my legs for some time now, but only with one or the other poi (left or right).

Last night i managed to (finally) get a chase and follow weave through my legs MORE THAN ONCE!

I have nearly got the 4 beat windmill down and I have the bruises on my ribs (only the right as havn't maneged to get the anticlockwise going yet) to proove that I havn't quite made it..yet!

Also, not doing neck wraps anymore, they leave funny scars when they go wrong, tehe. Think I read another thread about scars, maybe should go and have a looksey in there

hyperloop snakes look cool but I'll let Spiralx describe it- clever bugger

As far as poi in your mouth- heisenbergs don't work to well (sadly) but its nearly possible to get split time chase in your mouth... though its not recommended with 6 month 'gone everywhere been dropped in everything' poi handles... I had the taste in my mouth all evening.. YUCK!

hmmmm...

yes indeed... just remember that antispin is easier wallplaned than sideplaned.. that should help you learn the other direction and the turns..

A hyperloop if you're turning. If you're doing it in front of you there's no need to turn, get keep your hands still once they've tangled and they should pop undone on their own - that's an airwrap.
