well this will be the fourth post in a row on topic...shite someone better sort that one out!

I learnt how to tie monkey knots so I can make two finger monkies for fire poi handles *my dream handles*

I also learnt with staff (scuze poor terminology it's all new to me) neck roll from left then it rolls down my right arm doing 180 round my forearm on the way into a palm spin above my head. If you'd seen me smile afterwards I'd 'ave blinded ya!!

Flowers - same direction as the arms and butterfly ones as well. Both a bit sloppy but now that I've got them I can smooth them out a bit. And work on trying to get the opposite direction one as well.

Butterfly weaves - now pretty much as smooth as my normal weave in everything except wall plane which is still a little weak.

Lots of other little odds and sods really that aren't moves per se but have definitely improved my spinning over the weekend

I can just about (as in sometimes and its really untidy) isolate a 3bt btb weave on one side!

so i got this really stellar wrap that i just learned

so u arm wrap with your right poi on the top then do like your gonna wrap on the bottom of that same arm but bring you arm under and around the left arm then wrap on the right shoulder

ya

then you do that and then wrap on the right arm witrh the left poi then do the same thing but opposite but you wrap both poi around your shoulder then do a ying yang

New move, new move!!!!!!

BTB weave!

I started off by looking for a glossary (because i only understand every other word of technicalness), and found a link to the BTB weave and decided to try!

A couple of blackeyes, and some interesting skin colour variations on my legs later, and the BTB weave was born.

It's a bit shoddy as yet - i uncross my arms too far, but i can do several repeitions before i smack either my legs, or my eye

oh and I forgot one. I'm not sure what it's called (if it already has a name can someone let me know please) but the best comparison name we could come up with was "contact suicide" as the poi constantly rotate around my wrist/forearm but not wrapped around the arm, the poi are straight and I can get up to about 5 or 6 revolutions before they fall off. I need to make isolate movements to make it work but basically it looks like a devil stick when one rotates around the other. Know what I mean??

They can be in vertical or horizontal planes. Vertical is very hard and horizontal has been much more fun so far as I can do all sorts of body movements and throws etc.

cheers dub been over the spherc and found the thread but there's sounds a little different to mine and mine dont' actually wrap around the arm, merely touch it. Kinda like isolated staff if you catch my drift?

Keep up the hard work Bug, and oli your wibbling was looking damn good the other day.

Bug, that move has no name but there's a vid somewhere, i'll try to dig it out.

double wibble = dibble
triple wibble = tribble

dibble tribble! class!

Don't forget four is quibble!

I just realised there's been two Matt's teaching us moves! There must be something in the name me thinks

*runs to depoll to change name*

Custom Matt...no hang on that sounds like a posh rug for your front door!

Hopefully I'l get to meet poipoipoi Matt sometime and share some doobies and thingumy bobs, although me thinks it'll be more receiving on my part than giving

Matt you should coe to Falmouth for tis going to be great...oh yes

Me and PiP Matt decided to call that move it Contact Suicide...seemed like a suitable name, and so it shall remain till someone says something better

Straight-arm 4 beat TTN. At least forwards on one side, but it's a pretty nifty looking move and I should be able to translate it pretty easily elsewhere

Straight-arm as in straight out in front of you. Well except in this case it's more straight out to one side currently - makes it easier to learn I find. Once I can turn then I can get to point it in other directions

oooo, I like that one..doh, guess I better post some new stuffage..isolated body weaves & butterflies have been the soup du jour this week Also nailed this buzzsaw separation thing last night on fire, take right arm from buzzsaw, poi heads separate at 3, 1:30, then 12 o'clock, then one beat in buzzsaw, rinse repeat..

a sorta weird looking 3 beat underarmy thing. apparently it looks pretty cool, but i want a vid so i can see what im doing. and i got 3 beat weave with a buzzsaw in the middle, going one way, will work on the other way soon. and i found out that a tangly thing i'd been doing was actually a hyperloop

poi: reliable wall plane 7bt weave, standing still, not turning the body at all. both directions. and another way of doing a 7 that makes both the other ways i know of doing it the same way looked at from the middle in opposite directions. which would make sense if you saw it. honest.

staff: nice spinny jumpy thing, where you kick the staff, jump over it and then catch it behind the back. and a monkey stick climb thing. which dosen't really fit with anything but looked fun in the video.
