Saturday 26th July 2003 . . 3pm and 9pm (low tide is at 6pm)

sandcastle* competition *not to be taken literally.
Entries could also include skyscrapers, supernovas and oversize snails
judged by: a panel of prominent Londoners on innovation and creativity in Thames sand
rules: Anyone can enter. Any reinforcement or decoration must be biodegradable by the Thames or removed from the beach after the event
Building can start as soon as there's beach and judging will happen between 6-7pm with prizes presented at 7pm
to take part: email beach@swarming.org.uk with your team name and we will send you more information. Or just turn up..
on the day: turn up, register with us and start creating.
prize Thames-loving and to be announced
Rhythmns of the Resistance 20-piece processional Samba band
She'koyokh - a wild Klezma band (Jewish wedding/folk music) to set you swinging
Face Painting for small and large kids
Massive Barbecue eat ours or bring your own
Organic Juice mmmmm
Boating Kiss-me-quick hats and more on the day...

Anyway, bring a boat, picnic, beach games, deckchairs, donkeys, knotted hankys etc

Get our hands really muddy from the Thame's 'sand' then barbeque....... food poisoning here i come!!!

I've agreed to meet someone saturday unfortunately, but i might try and drag him along. Otherwise i'll just hafta see you all the following day in clapham
