Encyclo-Poi-Dia vs. Scales of Poi Find similar topicfind similar

I just bought Encyclo-poi-dia and some other stuff from HoP and I was wondering exactly what was on the DVD, like exactly what tricks are taught and is it a better choice than Scales of Poi with Nick Woolsey? I felt like encyclopoidia was more about teaching tricks and scales of poi was more about dancing and movement.

Maybe I told you that about the 2? Anyway, boiled right down that's kind of how I'd put it - Scales is more about the general control of the poi and motion/timing of your body in relation to the poi. Encylopoidia is more "trick" specific.

I personally prefer Scales - but that's probably because I can't poi!!
Chris generally recommends people towards Encyclo first, Scales afterwards.

I have several large jars of the stuff. I actually like it... a little. And don't tell anyone I admitted to it.

Funny, I have them both, and would do it the other way round cos Scales has info on how to be safe, warm up and so on. I only saw Encyclopoidia recently and then bought it pretty much straight away.
