Hi, Sorry for my relative absence on HoP lately, been so busy getting this film finished (and yes thats why the Falmouth 3 vid has been so late) but the hand in is tomorrow and me and the other 2 guys I worked with would love some feedback, we have already beena dvised to submit it to a short film festival. Our tutor who quickly viewed it said it was better than these 2 other pieces of 3RD!! (im 1st) year work and those one two awards!
So anyway I would love for you guys to tell me what you think.
The film is called 'Isaac'. The project we were given was called 'Alternate Superhero'. It is a story of a boy who idolises Superheroes and eventually has to make a choice to be like the superheroes he idoloises or be his own kind of superhero.

i'll ask strugz this afternoon.
really enjoyed the film man, it's crazy good. some lovely shots
in there, like the teddy bear looking at the moon transition and
the mirror shot. i also love the warm lighting and soft
focus-yness.
after our discussion at falmouth i was kinda hoping for a fight
scene with lightsabres, but i guess i'll have to wait till your falmouth
vid.
what was it shot on/with? how long did it take to make?
kinda wish i was doing your course now.

Lightsabers are gonna have to wait, we had some mad rush to get this done, we filmed it on a Canon XL1, the same camera that was used to shoot 28 days later and much of Collateral, it was shot on mini dv, edited on Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and a little bit of special effects using Adobe After Effects, everything in total took about 2 months, but filming only started mid march

Really, really enjoyed it.
Was in a similar situation when i was young, and like the boy, i had the opportunity to smack the kid in the face, and i did.
But he made the right choice...liekd the music, too
