over wrapped 7+ bt rvs . wrap on the right side of your body normally and then on the left side of your body the left poi gets thrown under your right arm wraps all the way around untill it is on the left side of your body swinging downward, quickly move the right arm far right 90* and the poi will un wrap with an extra revolution around your right arm.
Its a really weird wrap I have never seen done. I need to take video of some of these tricks.

... There is NO definitive listing of wraps. While I applaud the effort isn't it just better to realize that you can wrap off any limb or part of body at a 90 degree angle from any direction and timed together or split timed...

I mean god forbid poists use their imaginations to come up with wraps

No wait Kael... the phrase "Definitive List" came from the fact that there were many different wrap threads floating all about, some useful, some useless...

So CRD took the time to compile all of what had been compiled into a single "definitive list" and save us all from a flurry of partial to sucky lists.

It was in no way meant to be all encompassing. Obviously there are infinite wraps.

it's useful

I've always just been a sucker for 'stealing' concepts and adding more stuff and my own 'flare' to it. yay for originality.

hell when you realise that you don't even need 90 degree angles, the concept of listing wraps becomes kinda fruitless.. but then again.. once you've gotten anywhere close to that point.. do you even need a list anymore.. LOL

sez the professionals......

But for those of us who are new to wrap combos, it's a great list. there's things on there I hadn't thought of, and might not have for weeks

timely bump too I might add

Inspired by a session at the Spitz last night and by our wonderful friends over at GSC here's a couple of wrap combos that are probably only suited to people with sock poi or a helmet

The palindromic negative space combo: Start with a forward BF on your right side, stall the left poi onto your right shoulder and leave it there, bring the right poi over your left arm, up underneath, bounce it off your chin, back around off the top of your bed, back up inside into a duowrap off your right hand (you can keep the head-duowrap thing up for as long as you want if you're that way inclined ), unwrap and then bounce off head, back the other way, wrap off chin and then flick the left poi off your shoulder to go into reverse butterfly.

The turtlehead. Wall plane weave, go into an airwrap, stick your head out (hence the turtle bit) and wrap the ends off your chin and top of head to bounce back out the opposite direction.

The palindromic negative space combo:

I think this is the best move I've ever seen ever...

The turtle head- i'd say i'm practicing it but you may look at me funny...

I discovered another overwrapped wrap, this one starts with the rvs. 7 bt weave with wrist wraps. on left hand wrap over the wrist with right hand untill 1.5 revolutions you then turn left. Do people take into account the fact that you can do half bicept wrap and turn your body and it will unwrap just off teh inside of your arm. YOu can aslo wrap one full time around your arm and keep turning, the hardest are moves that wrap once and a half times so you have to turn opposite of normal to unwrap them and it gives another beat to teh whole mess. THese wraps are essentially I think 8-9 bt wraps because compared to a 7 beat wrap these unwrap off your arm for an extra count. Will take video once I can do this and many others slightly cleaner.

They are called thru wraps. what I am doing is a 9 bt thru wrap, they can be done on both arms, though momentum is key to this whole operation. thru wraps can be wrapped opposite normal if they have nother 90* of rotation around the wrist first..

Adding a thru-wrap to a weave adds a beat on each side - that's what 7bt with wrist-wraps are - a 5bt weave plus an extra thru-wrap on each side...

yeah but he's saying x bt thru-wraps...

and I don't count 7bt (with wraps) as being 7bts either.. its a 5bt with thru-wraps.. *shrug*

wraps are doable with tailed poi.

Better to remove the tail though if possible, but entirely up to you.

Wraps with tails works out fine, you just have to be more precise to keep the tails from tangling. It also depends a bit on material. For instance ripstop has a tendancy to cling to moist skin, so if you wrap a ripstop tail poi on bare skin on a hot and humid day, the tails are gonna stick to you (in my experience).

I have some basic wraps and other tail stuff here:
