*New video down the bottom*
finally, after making numerous video's that never went on youtube (due to lazyness) i put one up of me jamming to Golden Brown.
hope you enjoy
* oh yea- the cut is because the video was filmed in 2 sections
Nice, alot more enjoyable to watch than most. and great choice of song
You are alot better than me but I would say to work on flowers a bit more, you try antispin but it doesnt look very symettrical and maybe hybrids as you seem to try them a few times and they look ok but not great
How long have you been spinning, i guess at maybe 3-5 years?
yea around 3 and a half years.
haha i totally let that antispin flower get away from me but it always happens when i try and make a video so i just left it, still a bit painful to watch tho :P
and i just love the floaty feeling of hybrids, not so much for how they look in that piece but more for their timing.
thanks for the kind words
and here is another even less techy more jammy, dancey one i did last night to green spandex. I've been really trying to focus on musicality and movement rather than moves.

Very nice spinning - omg I so much need to go back practising.
I liked the intro of your first vid - some of the simple moves are just looking so sweet. "Golden Brown" is a nice song and I like it rather groovy, than having to turn off the sound
Nice finish too - but one thing: make them hold the camera, so they're not cutting off your legs! You got 15m's of headroom and they cut your legs...

what kind of poi are they? I didn't think I'd be seeing those hyper speed super uber duber loop things (whatever it was meenik was calling them, lol) any time soon with fire, guess I was wrong

Yakumo- those poi are monkeyfists on ball chains. the great thing about ball chain is that every link is a swivel so super dooper uber loops are quite do-able.

Beautiful spinning man!
Love more or less everything you do in the video, however I would be happy to see some other directions and timings than only forward or backward same direction split-time.
I've never liked ball chain, and even with the assurances of strength given with some of the modern stuff, I still can't quite put my finger on why not.
But I'm all for poi move freedom
I'd started to think it was some kind of kevlar cord you'd got or something, though most kevlar cord that look as thin as the chain in your video really wouldn't last long.

Sweet stuff man but I must say that it feels empty without music and as lazyangel wrote above "it seemed with a few of the moves like you were just practising them rather than flowing with them: maybe because of the lack of music?"
But you got a clean spinning style no doubt about that!
yea i was just trying out a bit of that stuff. i really dont use that kind of stuff enough when i burn usually so i was trying it out to see how it felt. Soon it shall be up to scratch
