Boredom leads to madness, but sometimes it leads to making mediocre tutorial videos in your bedroom. Sometimes, it leads to both.

I think "swishy-swishy butterfly thing" should be the official name. Yes, yes I do. Or maybe just "swishy-swishy".

"Split-time buttefly wall-plane anti-spin flower" probably.
Swishy is more catchy

I especially like the pshweeeshoop sound.
Whalesharks can have mouths up to a metre wide and sometimes feed in a verticle position. Zak and I have been reading the shark section of his animal book.

actually I was wrong, its Butterfly split-time wall-plane antispin flowers
but yes swishy is more catchy. Whenever I've showed someone the move I describe it as "gears" or "Cogs" because the 2 circles could be seen as a pair of gears spinning together
-------------------- I once learned every move that there was,
Every style, Every technique.
Then I woke up, and forgot it all,

Cheers Durbs...I'm a big fan of the narrated tutorial format.
The swishy-swishy one is spot on, meaning that you're average noobie can watch that tutorial and have an instant understanding of how to make the pattern.
OTOH, with your buzzsaw fountain tutorial i feel you didn't stress the inside/outside the arms enough ( especially with the going back inside ) as this is a major stumbling block with this pattern. There's a sort of a little "jump" in there which makes this pattern easy in theory, but far more difficult in actual practice.
So that's what 1.5s are.....I do them ( swiped them of Pistache's video ) but always thought of them as "this thing"
I'll watch the airwrap and hyperloops tutorials if I ever develop an affinity for them.

These were perfectly timed! I'd stumbled into the "swishy swishy" a few days ago and thought it was something to remember to play with. So, it was good to see how to clean it up into some nice moves and variations. Nice clear descriptions of what's going on, too.
Due to the acquisition of some really nice socks, I've also been in buzzsaw heaven lately, so again, nice to have some pointers on variations there. Halfway through the video I realized that one can turn in place while doing buzzsaws (well...DUH!)...so I missed about half of this while making myself dizzy, so I need to rewatch for the rest.
I really liked the clarification on the "up-hand" and "down-hand" and emphasizing how you move with each differently in the airwraps video. I've just started playing with airwraps, and it was something I hadn't thought to think about. That helped a bit with working WITH the forces already there.
OK... I don't know if yours is the first vid I've seen explain hyperloops by clearly stating to take the airwrap into the buzzsaw plane, or just the first one I've seen since I went buzz-happy recently, but OH BOY did that little concept help! I'd been watching other vids and could see they were doing something, but what it was went right by me. Thanks! I was able to do one. Well, half of one and then limped the rest of the way with floppy poi, but the concept's there now.
Very helpful. I actually made a YouTube account just so I could fave/subscribe.

Yeah - interesting tutorials are coming soon... possibly filmed somewhere with space and a semi-decent back-ground.
I'll next be bored in Januray, so around then I expect

and as ed so truly points out, inaccurate durbin naming has already had one major calamity - not 1.5s.... so sort that out too: if swishy swishy enters terminology then i'm coming to your house and stealing your salad crop.

Far too late for crop stealing
I ain't named nothing, i just described it... It's already named as a split-time anti-spin walllpane butterfly flower. At least it's more accurate than 1.5s
