Old people - why do they smell?

you know that old people aroma -
old women are usually a mix of lavender and cat wee
old men of tobacco and wee.
you get the odd ones that dont smell of wee - just lavender and old spice.

sometimes the odd few smell like cookies and pie - freshly baked. mmmmmm!

will I smell when I'm old and decrepid?

as for old people smelling, its probably due to their sense of smell not being as good as it used to be. I've found that the old people that come into work dont smell like you say, but of very strong perfume. In smaller quantities the perfume would be nice.

the right smell can be comforting, but if you sit on grandaddy's lap and accidentally burst his colostomy bag then its not so nice...

I was unfortunate once to sit next to an old dude on the bus who smelled like tuna fish - i got off a few stops before my actual stop and walked that extra mile home!

No idea where the flowery smell comes from, but i'm guessing their bladders ain't what they used to be, so accidents happen and lingers..hence the smell of wee...

I do it every opportunity I get. little sods. Burning the yellow pages in MY hallway when my baby boy is playing upstairs. Next time it's a bucket of ice cold in their faces hunny, I tell you!!!

i dont think you have issues, a always hated going to see my greatgrandmother because of the old person smell, i think its disgusting, it makes me heve

i think this is rather disrespectful. yes old people stink, but so do babies. babies always smell of poo and vomit. i'd much rather sniff an oldie than a baby any day. plus, old people tend to give away werthers originals, whereas babies just want want want!!
