I think its time to restart the staff juggling thread in the advanced forum.

Since quite a few ideas were mentioned in the old thread that don`t seem to really fit in a beginners section.

I would really appreciate if people would post there ideas.
But do me a favor and make a distinction between claiming
to really have a move and random ideas.
it will help reduce misunderstandings

And it will give us a better over view where people are.

To get you started :
I was playing around with a lot of 531522 variations

one is (i think) quite interesting
you know the one throw were you throw a staff as a waist cross and catch it with the other hand on the opposite side of the waist
use it as the 3
it is fun

ok:

pasted from the other thread:
----------------

several borrowed club patterns tried yesterday, and occasionally succeeded, enough to make me think theyll be solid if i work on them:
423 (the 4 and 3 are both from a wall plane spun cascade) where the two is:
spun back over the shoulder like a nunchuck
neck rolled, horizontal
body rolled, fromt to back
fishtailed

----------------

and in a less spinny-type blatant juggling rip off (but still with 90cm staffs) i can get a fairly solid above the head pattern going, and have managed some nice 441s, but need to be happier with a 3 being either inwards or outwards before i get solid. 64113 is also on the cards, but i need a much higher ceiling than i've been having, and it's too cold to try outside.

i pick up my golf clubs in a couple of weeks, and that's where the fun (and new act) is gonna be.

Nah thats easy Durbs - Its all in the Leotard.
Honestly Bro - you just have to practice and perform in one of those spangly, silver, sequined, spandex numbers and you'd be doing the same stuff.
Trust me Bro - and when you do all your natty moves can you make sure someone films and YouTubes it.....Erm not for any kind of hilarity for this cumminity...but...for...erm.... Eductational purposes - Yeah thats it. Not for me to have a bloody BIG laugh - honest....(did I just type that out loud?!)

on you perhaps... i just tried my 5 staff juggle for the first time... pattern is there, but is very, very hard. managed 4 catches and rethrows (decided trying for a flash will beharder than just going for it....)

eek.

incidentally, here is a nice pic wot clare took of me doing 4. i think i caught all of them, but it was uberwindy.

well done rob :applause:

im determined to put more effort into this once my final exams are over.. until then, i have no new 'i got this'

on the other hand, i believe 441 could be do-able.. with the '1' being something more staff based than just a staight zip.. maybe something over the shoulders

I imagine an angel roll would take too long for a 1, but could probably be used in place of a 3 in other patterns.

Nice thread benstix

Check out some of the stuff that Anthony Gatto
( http://youtube.com/watch?v=DlORbDOjTeU )is doing at 5:18
would be nice to try and translate that trick into a staff trick. What do you think?
