Places to get metal

hey.
ive had trouble getting a wider variety of metal for my various firey and circus creations. the range at bunnings is VERY limited and im not sure where else to go.
my question is this:

does anyone know where i can find a good range (tube, sheet, bar etc) of aluminium, steel, stainless steel and / or aluminium alloy inside Australia, and prefferably in Victoria.

oh and if you need metal i suggest Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth and Killswitch Engage

nigh on anything
metal for staves, sheet metal to make somewhat of a square edged sword for a fire sword (swords being illegal in vic) aluminium 1/8 inch box bar for stilts. list goes on.

humm..
i know in the US most good sized towns (10,000+ maybe?) have at least one scrap metal recycler, and most of them also sell the scrap for pennies... you can find all kinds of neat stuff on there...
if you wanna pay retail, www.mscdirect.com works for me quite well, though i dont know if they do stuff down under.

Hi,

I am in Canberra and get my Aluminium from a place called alucom. They make security doors mainly, but also sell Aluminium fairly cheaply. You may want to see if there is a similar place near you.

All the major Hardware stores around here suck for metal. Even the right sized dowelling is a bit of a pain.

Not sure about steel or SS.

One day I have to find a place near here that sells Titanium
