I'm sorry to put up a bit of a depressing thread, but I'm feeling blue and I'm alone in my house with noone to talk to about it. I dont quite know what's come over me, but last night I watched some soppy film and I rarely cry at films, but the tears just flooded out and wouldn't stop, like its been building up for sometime.

I know this is quite personal, but please someone tell me I'm not alone in this. Is anyone else feeling blue today?

i think you need one of these
We're moving in a couple weeks and i reeeeeeally don't wanna move. So being in the house just makes me upset.
When I fell its getting to me I stick somes head phones in, sit in the garden or go for a walk, and think about the things that I can be happy about, and when i come in ive got a big grin on my face.
hope your feeling better soon

Aimz xx

Aww - hugs! manymany hugs! And also lots of distant Reiki for you

And don't worry about it - its probably a combo of both the time of year (a lot of ppl been feeling down right now, including moi) and the comedown after the excessive fun of the EJC.

butbutbut you can look forward to more fun in Edinburgh! yay!

Hope you cheer up real soon - in fact, have a Giant Evil Kitten of Doom to aid your happiness! (if anyone messes with you, just set him on them...)

Its the way its rubbing its paws together in a 'AND NOW i WILL RULE THE WORLD! MWHA HA HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!' way that really impresses me

And yay to the Edinburghness! I'll definitely see you at firey fun, and will be around and about (probably winding up Meg as usual) all next week.

Yay!

You just miss me.

You're not alone.

It's standard 'post NYC trauma'.

When you're used to having someone as goregous as me around every day it's tough to transition back to the ugly people.

Stay strong my dear. And work out the end of that matrix crap.

wow, thanks for all the hugs. I'm am feeling loads better actually. My house is no longer empty, I found some money in my bank account, I'm going to Falmouth tomorrow and I played with toys all afternoon - nailing some seriously evasive moves!

It's been really hard to shake the blues though... I went for a really long and painful run, pushing myself harder than I probably should have, but I think it helped get certain thoughts out of my head.

And pounce, right back at you
thankyou! It's a long and painful process overcoming NYC withdrawal symptoms!

Yeah, some days are just blue days as the scent of NYC's pheromones fades away, but then you do something silly, dance around the house talking to yourself and smiling like a loon. At least that's what happens to me and I assume I'm perfectly normal...

My cure for the blues last night was to listen to lots of really good but silly music, such as Cake, T-Rex and Monty Python - followed by going to the pub and catching up with friends and getting drunk

Thus in conclusion, to beat the blues you need:

Silly Music
Friends
Getting Drunk
Sunshine
Hugs and massages
