Big nottingham meet :D

right as it goes flaming deity, snoopoi and i were all talking about holding a big meet one saturday in the near future.

we were wanting a saturday meet. and as it goes the 9th of october is the juggling convention so it could be sort of a two day thing. obviously the juggling costs but the saturday will be for complete fun and free. also accomodation although slightly limited will also be free !!!!


there is lots of space at my house, i can comfortably privide space for people in the house (roughly 4), and i can privide tent space (roughly three tents holding two people). i also know that flaming deity will have space for people to stay and snoopoi will have space for about two people.

also on a quick note, if you pm one of us three if your looking for a place to stay the night, as it will be first come first serve. plus i'm sure theres a few other notts spinners who can have people for the night.

well we cant arrange anything if no one lets us know when there available

I think what you have to do is come up with a date that you are all free and just announce it and see who decided they can come. You will never get everyone agreeing to a date on here. I've tried it and it just got me lots of abuse from people that couldn't make the date that was eventually picked.

Just be bold and stick your neck out with a date and invite people to come You are sure to get more of a responce that way.

ok i'll go and talk to the other two guys and we'll pick a date and just try not to clash it with anything else so please dont hate us if we do hehehe.

right well i need at least two weeks notice so i can book the time of work. but i'm sure i can give myself notice

what does need to happen is we need to look at the Nottingham events calendar. coz there are lots of festivals and all that on the fields of fire spot

i know no-one really cares about this but i write it here lauz or G may see it and remember to check too coz i can be a bit of an airhead

yeah that'd be great as many spinners as possible is what were looking for and i definately on parental permission have places for people to stay when ever it is

i don't know if you guys have heard or not but i think there's a number of 'small' one day juggling conventions planned for saturdays in sept + october which i'm going to come up for. they're gonna be joint ventures with notts jugglers and jugglesoc so peachi or martin will know what's going on if you ask them. anyway, i reckon you should get involved (if you're not already) and they should be good opportunities for enticing lots of peeps to notts...

oh.. and COME TO PLAY!!! and drag smit with you....

yeah some one mention the juggling things so i'll have to ask him the exact date for the next one as we just missed one well whenever that is in notts will more than likely be the definate date and i should have the definate date tomorrow unless the guy doesnt turn up who knows the info.
as for play i cant make it but i'm sure i can try and kick smit there, or get g and scott to drag him along

so who's up for coming to notts for two days doubt i'll get replies till after play lol

I would love to come, but need to sort out a way of getting there and back, find accommodation and seeing if I need time off work or not.

G how many train changes is it from newport/cardiff to Nottingham?

Just two sweetie.
Once you get to Cardiff there is a train that goes all the way to Nottingham. BIt of a long train jounrey poss 3 1/2 but nice and easy and you could get some lovely rest so you're all bouncy and fairy like for the weekend

Cool! Now all I have to do is convince the train people that travelling on a friday shouldn't be 30% more expensive than travelling any other day and I'll be laughing!

So what can a chocoholic faery get up to for 3 1/2 hours on a train..... hmmmm......

G hun will you have a space in a nice warm house for me to sleep for 2 nights if I come down on the Friday and go home sometime on the sunday? I don't think I'll be able to get the monday off sadly. I'm sure the trains run better on weekdays.

Sure thing your fairyness. There's currently futon space, airbed space and sofa space - not forgeting the all important floor space but your the first to ask so take your pick.

People are always welcome to camp at mine! got a couple of spare beds, about 6 inflateables plus tent space etc!
Well up for gettting this going so i'd b glad to meet people in notts that are new and dnt no their way around!!
