So I'm in San Francisco. It's so wierd to be back here. Haven't been here in about five years, since I was last at Stanford doing research. I have an interview for fellowship at UCSF tomorrow. Guys, I really, really, really, really, really want to move back to San Francisco. So wish me luck!

So the interview went really, really well.
One of my interviewers (who had no authority to say this) said "we'd love to have you here."
I'll hear back from them in about a week.

Speaking of wishing one luck: I submitted my written application for the JET program (Teaching English in Japan) back in November 2007. Last month I received a letter saying that I had passed the written application and I was invited to an interview!
That interview is today! 
This opportunity has been five years in the making. I've wanted to work with JET ever since I first learned of it back in 2002. However, I was in high school and required a university degree to even apply. This is the first chance I've had to apply for it now that I'm months away from graduating.
Should I get in, I will fly out to Japan at the end of July this year for twelve months, conveniently in time for the Japan Fire Festival and.... the Solar Eclipse that will be occurring in July 2009. The path of the eclipse will be passing through India, China, and the Ryukyu islands south of Japan. I would LOVE to be there when it happens: over 6 minutes of sustained eclipse goodness if you happen to be in the Ryukyu islands at the time!!

good luck, hopefully some of this luck will rub off on me i got a university interview tomorrow to do a physics masters degree in liverpool. im so nervous, the reason iv never had a job is because im no good at interviews..........
