Urgent Fancy Dress Party Help!

i have a party tonight, and i found out last night with less than 24 hours notice that its now fancy dress! and with an open theme! which is bad! because it means i have no idea what i can go as - with 12 hours to go!

so i was wondering if anyone has any ideas! i like to go as something that has character to it, because then i spend the whole night acting in that character.

things i have gone as in the past (as an indication for the whole character thing):
french maid at a porn party and spent the whole night being ditzy and falling over guys
wednesday adams and didnt smile the whole time (this was in primary school - my teachers thought i was upset! )
flower child at a 60s and 70s party and with my friend spent the whole night pretending to be stoned

if you have some beige overalls, a backpack, and a length of hose, its easy to make your own ghostbusters outfit. tape wierd shaped bits of cardboard to the pack so it looks more futuristic. lead the hose from inside the pack to the front. attach it to some kindof water pistol/toy gun. get some logos off the net and pin them to the overalls.

conan the barbarian/she ra /who ever is also easy. wear something skimpy underneath, then duct tape oval shaped peices of silver cardboard to you arms legs and torso to look like armour. for the sword, get a light length of wood, and tape two lengths of cardboard together with the pole between them.

the queen is also a hit. find any sort of dress - preferable pastel coloured [go to 2nd hand clothes store if you have nothing at home.]. surf the net to find the biggest picture of the queens face possible. print it, and see how big it is compared to your face. use a graphic s program to increase the size. then print it off, touch it up with some pen [enhance the wrinkles] put it on a stick, then you have masquerade style queen mask.

an old ladie from monty python is easy. an old floral dress. a cheap tacky raincoat, and a scarf on the head will set you back about $10 at the local st vincent de paul shop.

i ended up going as a gypsy! threw a whole lot of scarves over a skirt, heaps of jewelery! looked cool! however i only had a tambour and not a tambourine...aw well! was fun anyway!
