Tribal Neon Flame Dyes - Best Fuel?

I've just ordered a pack of flame dyes from HoP. I know it's suggested that you should use Methylated spirits/denatured alcohol as a fuel.

However, I've heard that other people have used Methyl Hydrate/Methanol (which is not the same) for these dyes, and to great effect.

Has anyone tried both of these for coloured flame? If so, which is better? (Or indeed, are there any other alcohol-based fuels suitable for this?)
