I've built some nifty programmable LED-staffs... but my mayor construction difficulty is grip. So I've searched site for plastic/rubber tubing I can cover my Polycarbonate staffs with. Problem is:
I need a material that gives good grip, even when slightly liquid (if you're spinning with clammy hands), that is transparent, or rather transluctant (it diffuses the light, which is better).

Do any of you have ideas what material I should use? My best bet would be something like rubber or latex, but there are prolly better materials so I'm asking you guys!

I suspect that searching for 'grip transparent staff' might take you to the same links via google too

Try a group called HESKINS LTD (www.heskins.com)They make safety grip tape. They produce one called Clear Aqua-Safe which is used on speedboats the good thing about them is they can make it in any shape or size and it is an adhesive tape so you can just cut it to the length you want and stick it on your staff.
