Private Messages

Hello!

Being that we get such a constant influx of new members, I thought I'd let them know how to get their Private Messages. I personally didn't even know about them until I clicked on "my profile" one day to remind myself of what I had written there all that time ago!

In order to check if you have received any private messages, just click on "My Profile" which you will find under the "Community" heading.

You can also send a member a private message by clicking on the icon (two people holding hands) at the top left hand side of one of their posts.

I think there is a maximum capacity of 60 pm's allowed per member - this includes your inbox and your outbox.

Ya, Why don't I get any PM's, unless i have done something wrong?

Don't forget, that in your profile, you can get the bulletin board to email you when someone sends you a private message.

It's been indispensable for me getting that little reminder...

Why has this topic fallen onto page 3?

cos most people know all about it, I'd say.

The main reason I started it was so that it would readily appear in the search database should anyone pose the question.

Can you actually see who posed the questions in the search database?

I don't know. as a moderator, I can't see anything.

The IP's are probably logged, but because the search function is on the home page and you don't have to be logged in, or even a member to use the search, I doubt it....

ok. So you wouldn't notice if a former mod was deliberately asking it dumb questions in the name of sillyness then?

sillyness is not all bad.....
