Not getting pictures in threads:Firefox

I am currently having trouble seeing any images that are posted in HoP threads. I can get them if I use Internet Explorer, but not Firefox. I'd like to continue using Firefox if possible, anyone got any clues? (I have already enabled popups for this site...)

I am using a G4 iBook OSX. I can see gallery images no problems, and all vids etc download fine.

(I did a search, couldn't find this problem mentioned elsewhere... will suicide thread if it is!)

hmm wierd. im using firefox v 1.7.12 and i can see pics fine.

well the version I downloaded a few months ago was 1.0.4, so I'll maybe try an upgrade...
any other offers?

I wonder if Firefox has an option to disable images when browsing, and that the option has been accidently set?

I wonder this because, from what I've heard of Firefox, it's a well thought out browser, and, given the vastly increased page loading times that come with disabling images, it would be a sensible option to have included (I use seperate software to disable images (I'm on dialup) and it massively cuts down on page loading times on HOP).

So maybe you should look for something in the 'preferences' or 'options' bit, or look it up in the help files.

I've just checked (version1.7.6), and there is an image disabling feature, in-

TOOLS > OPTIONS > WEBFEATURES, then see if 'load images' is checked

I went to check your suggestion Dave, (in preferences...)and found that 'load images' was checked, but so was 'for originating sites only'. As the thread piccies here have been linked from oelsewhere, I unchecked that and voila!! Piccies!
