I need an assistant for my show - paid!

I do a fire/stunt show. My assistant up to now has been my girlfriend but she's a photographer, rather than a performer and dosn't want to keep doing the show with me.

Ideally I'm looking for a girl probably early 20's, sensible for safety stuff, extrovert for performing stuff, hardworking and reliable. Also up for ending up topless occasionally depending on the audience!

You will get the opportunity to show off and use your skills in front of some quite large crowds of appreciative people!

I do the show all over the country and have recently been getting enquiries about going to Europe.

You will need your own insurance and understand that you are working as a freelancer and that you do it at your own risk. The money would be a minimum of £100 a day. Generally the work is at weekends but a weekend gig would be Thursday or Friday through to Monday (3 days work plus 2 days travel). I am not fully booked for the summer yet, next show is end of April and one after that is end of May.

Ideally you would be based in or near Manchester but anywhere in England or Wales should be OK especially if you can travel.

Thanks for the offer but most of my shows are in England, you'd have a hell of a commute!

Why would the woman have to get topless? Surley that just undermines the whole performance.

It's a magic trick that goes wrong. I pick the assistant out of the audience when I'm wearing silver firefighting overalls, I say that she needs to be wearing the same and I'm going to put some on her magically. I put her in a box that is covered in paper and spray it with parafin, get the audience to shout a magic word and I breathe fire at the box. The paper burns away and I open the box and out comes the girl not in firefighting overalls but in a bikini or topless (if it's like a biker rally). Oh no! the magic went wrong so he has to wear my overalls and she helps me out of them to reveal that I am wearing just a sequined thong which is what I wear for the rest of the show.

Like I say, it's my girlfriend who does this at the moment and she loves doing it cos she gets a bigger cheer than I get for most of my stunts!

A new assisstant wouldn't HAVE to go topless if they really didn't want to but it does work very well for certain audiences and it's comedy toplessness rather than sexual toplessness.

And I don't ask anyone to do anything I wouldn't, I've been stark naked on TV in front of an estimated 1,000,000,000 people.

and if it helps im also fully first aid trained and have been around fire stuff since about 16....but i wont wear a thong...sorry but i just wont.
