This is a toughie, Id probably go for Give It Away - Chili Peppers but then again I am quite biased really, No Suprises - Radiohead is pretty good aswell  Lots of Chili Peppers Videos!

Although I like works of Spike Jonze, Chris Cunningham who specialise in stunning weird imagery et al, I prefer Michel Gondry who's raison detre seems to be the mixing of layers upon layers of reality as seen in Bjork's 'Bachelorette', Beck's 'Deadweight', The White Stripe's 'Dead Leaves in the Dirty Ground', Cibo Matto's 'Sugar Water' and erm... Kylie's 'Come into My World'. His expertise in handling layers of reality is used to great effect in 'Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind'. Great technique mixed with a sweet and honest love story.
But my favourite music video has to be Sigur Ros' 'višrar vel til loftįrįsa'. As well as being my favourite song of all time, the video manages to capture the sweetness and innocence of a boyhood gay romance without turning it into a paedophile's wet dream.
