Malcolm, what size should the image be? Any preferred resolution?

Size should be
Height = 180mm (7")
Width = 115mm (4.5")
Resolution = photo quality ? 200dpi

malcolm,
you might want to check that:
slightly higher res 300 to 360dpi
more usual for comercial printing
check with your printer.

and this is going to come up as the next bit of discussion, so you might want to specify what file formats you can take:
JPG is lossy compression, but high spec jpg, you wont really notice.
Tiff is standard but files are like elephants.
Gif perfect if its line art or blocks of solid colour.
photoshop and illustrator native or PDF seem to be generally what I'm working in nowdays (illustrator 9 native is a pdf in disguise)

Oh and I might have to enter just so it doesn't have a brush script font

I may be asking a very stupid question..but I am still fairly new to the whole site.
The artwork for the cover, must it be a picture? Will drawings or enhanced images be accepted?

Can we send in more than one design? I already have two. Is there a limit?

This is gonna come off kinda wierd, but can the pictures (drawings, in my case) be kind of, how should i say...revealing? Not as in porn or anything, just a little revealing (it's a woman, not a man, lol). And ca it be a black and white sketch, or is color recommened?

Enter as many times as you wish.
Can by any type of art, black and white, sketch, colour photo, design, unreal or real.
Must be OK for general public to see without age restriction.

Seem to be getting a lot of firery covers. How about some that captures the essence of all types of twirling?

now that the entry requirements are 300dpi,
that makes the dimensions of the final submissions to be in the ballpark of 1359 pixels across and 2126 pixels down to comply with the entry requirements - your individual mileage may vary
That leave me about 338k per image file as a 65% jpg compressed image - you may encounter more if the image has heaps of details.

should look pretty good...showing how we are all not hippies and are all slightly crazy (slightly is a huge understatement for me) and all enjoy playing with fire..
