29th June - please can we cancle this day?

I'm starting a petition to ban the 29th of June for a few years.. I did try to organise a fun trip to Thorpe Park with some close friends with the ulteria motive of having fun on my birthday - but my freinds have either not replied to my email (I know who you are! ) not got the time booked off work or have some sort of body ailment that would prevent them on going on any rides..

THEREFORE - I plan to totally CANCLE the 29th of June.. so people.. next week.. look forward to a short week, you will not have to go to work or school or where ever you go during the day as it will be a 'non day' it won't exsist, nothing is going to happen..

so there.

sorry i had to vote no because even if it did pass to cancell the day we cant just throw away those 24 hours....unless you alter every calender on earth and take it out then il go along with you....but your gotta do the aztec calender too...good luck

if your birthday is on the 29th, then surely by getting rid of it, you are also getting rid of your birthday?

zactly.. I give up on birthdays - they have been rubbish recently.. all went down hill after 25 6 years later and they seem to be getting lamer.. no I understand why older people don't want a fuss on their brithday.. it's better to forget.

Nope, there's a whole hemisphere that would have 2 midwinter solstices if we had 2 June 21sts - they used to sacrifice things to avoid this from happening! I'd vote for 2 January 1sts though as it takes me a couple of days to recover from the evening of December 31.

good one wirewood, but if we're rearanging the calendar anyway i'm sure we can organise to have different extra days on both hemispheres. I also very much like the extra NY day though!

I have to say, cancelling this day, or even this week just brings us one step closer to my birthday. And I'm not quite sure if thats a good or bad thing!

I'm in favour of cancelling it, solely for the sheer chaos it would create!
