Doing this helped me get the 3 beat weave down. I had kinda been able to do a really sloppy version of it (I have vi]]>

I'm not sure I entirely understand your question so if this doesn't answer it, let me know.

Have you spent much time hand drawing compound circles (flowers)? That was probably my first step in the understanding i have of them now. While drawing play with how different variables affect the shape. Variables being things like the ratio of arm length to poi length, which affects how close the poi path is to the center of the overall circle. Then there is also the number of petals, pro-spin vs. an]]>

Thanks, appreciate the help. I'll give it a shot and let you know here in a few days if I'm having much luck or not. I think one handed tricks are really fun, it's cool seeing somebody do a trick with both hands then later go back and do the same thing one handed.]]>

I've been practicing this and what I'm trying to fine tune is the feel for where the poi are traveling when they're that close and finding that precise moment to flick the wrist and give the poi that push they need to continue but not knock them off course. That you have to be much more deliberate in your movement when the poi are that much closer. That may or may not be helpful! ]]>
