I found this book to be helpfull. There are instructions contained within so you can make one before you purchase the real macoy. (The one you make is a lot softer on your shins than the real ones). I found the diagrams and the instructions easy to understand and follow.

5 starsWhat's a Meteor?!,Feb 11, 2008

Reviewer: Larry Gallagher from United States
I've only seen one person ever spinning Meteor, and it was awesome. After looking through this bok and getting a brand new Meteor from HOP, I played around a bit. Let me tell ya something. Meteor is WAY awesome, it combines Poi and Staff like spinning into an amazing art. After reading through some of these tricks I was sure that I could do the same with my Poi, but after reading a few more, I was sire I could do more with Meteor than Poi, or Staff, and Staff just ain't my thing anyways, so this will be interesting. Thanks again HOP for helping to open my eyes.
