We are proud to bring you a unique series of pendants designed by Nick Woolsey and Alex Grunenfelder of Playpoi (the first of several playpoi/HoP collaborations). The pendant story can be found here on playpoi.com
Each pendant is hand carved in Bali, Indonesia, from bone (white) and horn (black) of domestic water buffalo. Each pattern represents an important poi movement or concept. The bone-and-horn pendants are limited to 100 of each pattern. Nick hopes to one day create a run in silver as well.
Domestic water buffalo is an important creature – a provider of milk, and pulling power (the 'tractor' of the eastern world) and at the end of it’s life – meat, leather, bone, and horn. We hope the strength of the water buffalo will rub off on the wearer of this limited edition, hand-carved treasure.
