quality and price

I bought a short (1100 or 1200 mm). This was my first fire staff, after practising at home with a metal vacuum cleaner tube with LED finger lights taped on the ends. Chose HomeofPoi from recommendations, and from viewing competing products in Cosmic Corner. PRICE - very important, and HoP win hands down. QUALITY - very important, and I am impressed with the attention to detail plus the simplicity of construction. No visible screws, well-plugged and then covered ends, tight smooth handgrip, easy-clean anodising, and the glittery tape is a nice touch. Staff is very light and strong.
I did notice one of the small wick flaps came off the end after a couple of months (about an inch square covering each end of the tube) easy to fix and not really necessary.
Subsequently I also sewed around each end with the kevlar thread from HoP to ensure the layers of wicking didn't shift as this was happening a bit when I went through a dropping phase.
Awesome staff and Delivery was almost immediate!
