The Scales of POI: Mastering the Music of Movement is geared towards intermediate-to-advanced POI artists who want to take their practice to the next level. It is a guided tour through a comprehensive system of excercises and explorations that have a very specific goal: complete freedom of movement and expression.
It shows theory aspects about things such as planes, beat timing, direction and other ways to move your hands rather than focussing on individual moves. This means you will understand the building-blocks of moves and be able to advance faster.

This dvd is very good if you have learned all of the tricks but want to take your skills to the next level. this dvd doesn't focus on "how to do a certain trick" but rather 'opens your eyes' to a different way of seeing things. its very good and recommended if you wish to become advanced with the poi.

This dvd is wonderful for the simple reason that it IS NOT step by step instruction. Rather, it OFFERS possibillities and pointers for OVERALL improvement! I was surprised but the simplistic yet intelligent tips which helped immediately. This is a fun, exceptionally useful video!

A great video, that goes way past the basic video tutorials for various moves on the interent. He takes a different (and advisable) approach to poi. He show how you can gain total control and total freedom to move with poi (and how to keep in time to music)! He is a true inspiration, and seems a very nice and modest guy as well! This will not teach you how to 3 beat or even 5/7 beat, but will teach you excellant drills to practice that will lead to you doing a variety of flowers etc and lead to you inventing new moves! I've watched it 6 times already!
