Cally has been playing djembe for 15 years and teaching for over 10 years. He has a faithful following in the UK due to his easy to learn teaching method and his genuine connection with the origins of djembe. He has performed with multicultural groups and musicians from Senegal, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Nigeria, Ghana and the Ivory Coast. He continues to visit Ghana on a regular basis to ensure he keeps true to the origins and perfects his technique and rhythms in their natural environment.
