After hundreds of hours of trial and testing we now have a 'super dangerous' looking fire poi head.
Experienced fire users only.
Unlike the simple 2D flat star designs, these heads have a true 3 dimensional woven star design with cone points pointing out in 12 different directions.
A lot of detailed work and care go into the making of each set. In comparison, we can finish 25 pairs of monkey fist knots in the same time it takes to make a single pair of 3D Death Star poi.

NB we know there's other "deathstar" poi designs - typically these use the Shuriken star design (you can Google the oragami instructions easily). The stack of shuriken star wicks is something we experimented with some time ago. They don’t burn for very long and they have problems with running out of fuel and smouldering and therefore reduced life. The design we use produces a solid wick item that has a longer burn time, a true 3D effect and a more durable product. The down-side is that it takes a lot of labour to stitch together which is why the price is so high, but you get what you pay for.

I lit these up a few days ago, and I've only gotten around to writing the review now - the shock of how amazing the fireballs were has finally faded!
These have THE BIGGEST fireballs for any fire poi head I have ever seen! They need quite a bit of fuel and quite a bit of effort to extinguish, but it's well worth the effect!
If you're aiming for the most spectacular effect on your poi, get the 3D Death-Stars.
