If you do fire twirling or are thinking of doing it, watch this dvd before you do anything else. It's important that everyone who dances with fire in any way is aware of all the possible safety precautions. It only takes one slight moment of distraction to cause a serious injury to yourself or someone else. This DVD from Home of Poi provides everyone from the novice poi spinner to even the most experienced fire master with the safety mind-set and checklists for a fun, unhazordous, and catastrophe-free spinning event. The demonstrations by the actors are easy to follow and fun to watch, and the interviews with the extremely experienced Pele offer insight into the work, dedication, and safety-concious mindset that contribute to a happy and successful spinning "career", untainted by possible hazards and scares. HOP really shows their care for their customers and respect for the art of fire spinning by not only pricing this video at $0.00 when I imagine people would be willing to spend quite a bit more than that, at least I would, but also sending it world-wide shipping-free.
