This was the first set of poi I had ever touched, let alone spun. Now I'm bonking myself in the head like a champ! I love the colors and the tails look awesome, though I had to take mine off because they kept wrapping around each other. But that's the beauty of detachable tails! The demonstrations and step-by-step instructions on the DVD are easy to follow and it's nice to be able to take a break and watch the people from the COL2 vids who actually *can* spin poi. This set was just what I needed to get started.

A must for starters just for the incredible moves these experienced fire poi and fire baton twirlers create on film. Also, the practice session is very informative and I learned a lot from watching the introductory and intermediate spinning styles.
