This is a fantastic instructional video. After watching it I am know exactly what I need to do to get my basic moves down. I created some makeshift poi until I get my actual poi in and did just fine becuase of this video!

The instructor is great at explaining the steps involved.

I ordered these poi Tuesday night and they arrived at my house here in England the following Monday morning - that's just 3 working days and a weekend - having been dispatched two hours after I ordered them! Packing was excellent.

And what about the poi?! The wicks are bigger than I imagined them, the heavy-duty ball chains just the right length (medium), and they exude quality. Everything about them is top-notch. The webbing handles are also great, with plenty of lines of stitching to ensure maximum security. All the hardware is stainless.

I had my first burn with them the day I got them - my second-ever time playing with fire poi - and they are brighter and more impressive than the cylinder wicks I tried at first. They absorb LOADS of fuel and burn for a long time.

I can't rave about these poi enough! Buy them now!
 

The best learning resource other than a teacher

This book is brilliant. The text is concise and easy to understand; the illustrations are clear and the moves numerous. You can see exactly what the poi are supposed to be doing at any point in the move.

I guarantee that you will be able to learn moves from this book. The only thing better than this is learning directly from a poi teacher - such as Michal herself, perhaps.
