Ball Chain Fluffy Poi

These arrived at my house within a week of ordering them. The fluffy balls don't hurt when they hit you and have been great for my first spinning. I have some books on poi spinning, but nothing is quite the same as being able to see someone do the moves right in front of you. The DVD that comes with this set has been really good because it shows you the basics, replete with hand positions and all the essential advice on spinning a real life teacher would be able to give. An awesome choice for learning.
 

Great beginner poi!!

As the title suggests. These Poi are very user friendly and lighter than other pois. Won't give you sore arms for a start. Easy to learn new tricks with. I have now advanced to heavier, longer tail poi for performance purposes but i always go back to my loyal pink fluffy poi for practice and learning new tricks! Great work H.O.P. for high-quality product, fast delivery and check-up emails from Chris...you guys are godsends!

I held back from buying this book at first, as I've always found it difficult to learn moves from photos, diagrams and descriptions alone; it was the glowing reviews I read everywhere else that changed my mind.

And how well-deserved they are. The love and care that has gone into this book is obvious from the start; the author is clearly somebody who not only knows and loves her subject, but truly wants to share her knowledge with the reader and help them develop their skills. The book is not just a list of moves and fancy tricks, it's a very useful guide to creating eye-catching performances, full of energy and flow, even from simple moves.

The text, tips and pictures work together beautifully, to build a mental movie of what should be happening. The diagrams (my usual bugbear) are exemplary, clearly showing stance, poi position / direction AND those vital hand positions.

This may be "the only" book available on Poi, but it will be THE standard work for many years to come.

A must.
