I had hit a brick wall a bit with my poi and wasn't practising as much as I was frustrated at not being able to do the moves as seen in my poi book. Then I got this dvd and now I'm practising every spare minute having picked up loads of cool new moves in just a few days already! This is simply perfect for the beginner, you can watch how its done (and its done so beautifully too!) pause, rewind, paractise, watch again till you get it sussed! Then you can watch COL2 and blow your mind with how the experts do it! Totally brilliant and highly recommended! |

This video was an add-on when I ordered the free fire-spinning video, and I am very glad I added it on! The instruction in the video is simple, easy to follow, and progresses well. I have picked up on the tricks with a couple of hours of practice after watching the segments (again and again!) The added footage of spinners is a real incentive to practice, as well as a beautiful art form just to sit and watch.I am learning poi, and I suggest if you are trying to teach yourself like I am, this video will help! The info on the web site is good, but it really helps to see the hand-work and have the vocal instruction. Cheap too! |

This a great little package! I'm a complete beginner at fire staff and within my first few afternoons of practising, I'd already got to grips with many of the moves explained in this tutorial, thanks to the clear explanations and useful close ups. Getting the Sage documentary was a REAL bonus, and you can't help but be inspired by her performances and her views on life. All in all a really enjoyable DVD and worth every penny spent! |
